Harrison Green
Harrison Green is the Director of State Legislative Affairs at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Working with New York State and City officials Harrison helps shape economic and real estate development policies for the state’s largest real estate trade association. Previously, as a community organizer for the 2012 Obama Campaign he helped secure a win for the campaign in the swing state of Ohio and would later use those skills to help monitor the distribution of federal funds allocated to New York City in the wake of Hurricane Sandy in 2013. As Special Assistant to New York State Senator Kevin Parker, I worked on a number of projects across Brooklyn and the city of New York to help advance non-profits and expand culturally relevant education programs while learning the complex political dynamics of local, state and federal politics in New York State. Eventually serving as Director of Community and Government Affairs at the Brooklyn Navy Yard he gained an earnest desire to lead a transformative culture around small business development and job creation through his background in policy analysis, compliance, corporate social responsibility, non-profit management, and economic development.
Harrison has a BA in Religious Studies and Political Science from Emory University and a JD from Case Western Reserve University. |
